Usually by this time, I have completed my Winter Juice Fast and I’m feeling great.
I’m over the chips and guacamole and I’m over the sweets. All that holiday “stuff” has been cleared out of my body, the juices have flooded my body with nutrients, my immune system and energy levels are charged back up and my feet are firmly planted on what I have come to lovingly refer to as The Path to Healthy Living.
But somehow this January has been different for me. February is only a few days away and here I am struggling with jeans that are still a little too tight, feeling a bit sluggish in the morning and still munching down on stuff like the holidays never ended. You know, since shifting to a healthier lifestyle, I am just not used to this. And I am not a happy camper!
Can you relate?
I guess sometimes life throws you a curve and you get just enough off course from your normal habits and routines that you find yourself struggling to restore your balance even when it is usually easy and effortless. Well, life threw me a hard ball curve last fall and I’m still recovering from that but still…I’ve been putting my juice fast off for almost a month now. What?! Enough is enough.
I don’t know about you but when I have that much resistance to something I normally find easy and effortless, I reach a point where I just have to dive in and get it done.
